Beach lovers and those who enjoy volunteering for a good cause are invited to participate in the quarterly beach cleanup with CAI SE Florida, where we help collect litter off of Fort Lauderdale Beach. The Beach Sweep will take place Saturday, July 9th, 2022, 8:30am to Noon. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, availability and sizes while supplies last! There will be a workout activity with Joey Hartley at 10am – be sure to notify in the RSVP if you want to attend the workout class!
Registration & Beach Sweep is at the HUB, 300 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard (where Las Olas meets the ocean, across from the Elbo Room).
Just a small amount of time can make a huge environmental, recreational, and economic difference. Some important tips:
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult
- Students receive community service hours credit
- Wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes (no flip flops)
- Bring water, a hat and sunscreen
- “Share” your photos the day of the event with CAI-SE Florida.
The volunteer parking is at the Las Olas Garage at 200 Las Olas Circle. Volunteers can park until Noon of the beach sweep. The actual beach sweep and registration is on the beach where A1A meets Las Olas, across from the Elbo Room.
